Can I enroll my child in one/both week(s)?
Yes! The workshop weeks are planned so that students can take either one separately or both together.
My child is really shy. Will the public speaking program be a poor fit?
Not at all! All our programs are built to accommodate (if not target) students who would traditionally not feel comfortable speaking in front of people. That’s part of what we work on with the students.
Can I follow along with what my child is learning?
Parents/Guardians will be able to follow along with all assignments and works through Google Classroom as the week progresses. We’ll also occasionally send parents email updates with the students’ work.
Who is eligible to participate?
Students entering Grades 6 through 9 in Fall 2019 are eligible to participate.
Is Financial aid available?
We have limited need-based financial aid available on a first come, first served basis. Please apply here.
When are payments due?
A $50 deposit is due with the application to secure your child’s spot in the workshop. All other payments are due by June 15th.
Will my child get a certificate at the end?
Yes, students will go home with a certificate as well as a physical magazine of any written work they and their peers submit.
What should my child bring to the workshop?
Your child should bring a refillable water bottle, an electronic device that they can comfortably work from (tablet/laptop), and some paper and pens to write with.
Will food be provided for the students?
We will provide lunch and snacks on all workshop days. Students with dietary restrictions will be accommodated.
